Error starting "Xampp" stack

I receive this message when I try to start :

Error starting "XAMPP" stack
cannot calculate MAC adress: Using fd 13 for I/O notifications

I use macOS Catalina Version 10.15.7

Are you using the XAMPP VM installer, not the XAMPP native installer?

Are you running on an Apple Silicon (M1 or M2, arm64 architecture) CPU?

If so, then I suspect you are discovering that the XAMPP VM does not support Apple Silicon CPUs. See the earlier forum post, "Clarification on macOS VM, and nonsupport for M1 CPUs", at https://community.apachefriends.org/f/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=82321 for more information.

Short answer: use the XAMPP native installer on computers with Apple Silicon CPUs.
