Problems with the Mac OS X version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I have recently installed XAMPP 9.1.6 on my MAC OS and I am not able to see the /opt/lampp directory when I am logged in. The only way to see this or access this is if I am logged in as ROOT. This is not the development environment that I have. I have done this many times on Linux environments and I have access to the /opt/lampp and all directories as a regular user. All of my code is designed this way. Is there a way I can have this environment accessible for a non-root user
