Security for Localhost

Just installed Xampp on Mac and have Joomla 4 installed. According to directions, after checking the site, I typed the url: 'sudo/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp security' but it turned up an error message. First, I'm not sure if I typed it correctly and, secondly, should I have stopped services first? I hope someone can assist--haven't used this in years.
