MySQL not starting on XAMPP 7.4.27-2

Hi all,

I'm running XAMPP 7.4.27-2 on Mac OS Monterey 12.2 but MySQL server does not start. The problem seems to be the file mysql.sock not existing in/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/var/mysql/mysql.sock.
I went through many posts on Internet but none worked for me.

Any suggestions are welcome.
