XAMPP - How to edit Config.Inc.Php in Mac (Help)

Postby sharma1111 » 04. November 2021 03:33

I have to change the password inside the Config.Inc.Php inside my XAMPP in my Mac to match the password of my MySQL Software. For that:

a). I went to the XAMPP. Clicked on Open terminal.
b). Then I typed apt-get update
c). Then typed apt-get install nano
d) Then typed cd ../opt/lampp/phpmyadmin
e) then I type nano config.inc.php
Now, I would believe my last step above would open the config.inc.php page which I can edit. Indeed, the first few times, it gave me that page. But after a few "playing around" I am not sure what happened. Now it says "[ Error reading lock file ./.config.inc.php.swp: Not enough data read ]" . I don't see any text related to config.inc.php.

I am in my MacOS Monterey.

Please help.

Not an XAMPP issue. Thats a nano problem.
A Google search gave me this hit: https://askubuntu.com/questions/939527/ ... tc-profile
