XAMPP mounted volume writing permissioin

Hello All

New to developing WP sites on my local server.....

I caused a plugin conflict which resulted in a fatal error shutting down my WP site.

I want to modify the XAMPP volume but due to permissions I cannot,

I cannot modify permissions through the INFO window.....

I want to either remove the offending plugin directory, or modify the functions.php file, but as I said, due to permissions I cannot

Excuse me if am not asking the right questions, but.....how do I change read/write permissions to the volume...

hello again,

I undid the plugin conflicts using phpmyadmin......

however, I would still like to modify some contents of the volume and I have not yet been able to modify the permissions....that is the heart of my problem ....for instance, I want to modify the wp config file but am not allowed to.........am I barking up the wrong tree.....?
