Hello!

Xampp fails on MacOs Big Sur version 11.4.

Error starting "XAMPP" stack

Details:

cannot calculate MAC address: Using fd 14 for I/O notifications
hv_vm_create HV_ERROR (unspecified error)

My htdocs files have disappeared, is there a solution?

No,

Same happens to me, it looks like the VM version is not good with the macOS updates. So after you update your machine XAMPP VM version crashes with no help from Apache Friends at all. I remove the VM version and install the non-VM and now doesn't run, it shows an "It works" message which it looks means two XAMPP are installed we must uninstall one... but I already do... This is already weeks... and nothing fix the problem. Meanwhile... no files at all.

Be careful, If I find any solution I let you know.

That's not correct. It is true that the supporters here don't recommend the VM version. The VM version produces more issues than it helps. But we don't have any influence about which versions Bitnami produces and how they place them on the home page. But you will find plenty of threads here where i myself or other supporters don't recommend using the VM version. So it is not true, that you will not get any help.

No. XAMPP does not use the default Apache It works page at all. So if you are getting this message that means that you have a non XAMPP Apache running anywhere. Nobbie already told you that on your own thread. Maybe you installed MAMP or something else, we cannot know. But stop spamming foreign users threads with your own issues. Read the replies on your own thread.

Why do you blame Xampp? Did you upgrade Xampp, or did you upgrade macOS? Blame Apple!

As seen in the parallel thread, Apple BigSur 11.4 installs its own Apache which collides with Xampp. Ask Spple how to avoid that.
