Mostly due to wrong CPU. If you are running the new M1, you CANNOT install Xampp VM. Instead install a non-VM version. You will find 3 VM Versions and 3 non-VM Versions on the download Site of Xampp, the VM Version installer is more or less double size.

A last note: you did not provide ANY information about your PC. That is actually a very bad idea, nobody can help you when you dont provide any information. Its on you if you want help or not.

Unfortunately, I get that error as well. Operating system is MacOS Big Sur V 11.3.1, running with an Intel chip, so not the M1. I updated my Mac to the latest version a few days ago, since this point of time I cannot start the XAMPP stack anymore.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Instead of the VM Version of Xampp, download and install the "normal" OSX Version. There are six different packages at https://www.apachefriends.org/download.html for OSX, the first three are normal installations, the next three are VMs. The normal installation is approx. half of the size of the VM version.

Do NOT install VM Version.
