Clearing php_error_log

Postby Yod4 » 21. October 2020 18:47

Hello everyone

I am a beginner in php and thus I fill the php_error_log file with a lot of lines ;)
I can't open that file from the finder (it weights several tens of Gos). Is there any way of clearing up this file ?

Thank you for your answers !

well actually when I try to delete the file, my finder says I don't have the rights to delete the file. I therefore try to modify the rights in the file information but once again the finder says I am not allowed to modify the rights

Same thing when I click on the uninstall file, my finder says I am not allowed to open the file

Edit:
Only daemon user is allowed to modify the files.
When I do a php query get_current_user(); I get that the user it Bitmani

However I do not succeed in changing the current user or the user allowed to modify
I have tried to do sudo chown bitnami /Users/... /xampp/volumes/root/logs/php_error_log but it says the operation is not permitted

The sudo command should take care of that. Since you are on a Mac, you may have to do a few steps to enable it.
