Can not calculate MAC address (with USB wifi adapter)

Hello, when I want to start I get error " cannot calculate MAC address: exit status 1 ". And this only happens when I use my usb wifi adapter. For example when I connect via my iPhone as a personal hotspot it works.

If I remember correctly the onboard WiFi will have a MAC address that is similar (but not the same) as the onboard ethernet interface.

You could also check dmesg to see what interface name is assigned to the USB wifi adapter.
