MySQL not starting

Hi wonder if you could help - I'm a newbie to using xammp but having issues with mysql not starting. Everything else is woerking fine but obviously i cant access wp or phpmy admin without the db.
I'm getting the following error log msg

ERROR: Failed to start "mysql": cannot start service: /opt/lampp/bin/mysql.server: 264: kill: No such process


XAMPP for 7.3.10-1
Mac Osx 10.15.3

Anybody able to help? - i'm stuck and need to get the data for my new website?
