Difficulty starting ProFTPD

Warning: I have next to no experience with coding or configuration. I'm trying to set up OpenSIS for a school that my partner and I are opening and I'm having trouble getting XAMMP off the ground, which I need for OpenSIS.

I've installed and re-installed XAMMP several times but each time I'm unable to start the ProFTPD server. I keep getting this error message:

hyperkit: [ERROR] Mirage block device raised exception: Qcow.Make(Base)(Time).Reference_outside_file(_, _)
Mirage-block error: Block device is disconnected
Could not open mirage-block device: Invalid argument
Could not open backing file: Invalid argument

Please help. I've been staring at this screen for ten hours, looking at tons of videos on youtube and still not finding any answers. Anything is appreciated.
