WP permission denied

Hi folks,

I installed Xampp in my Mac and was having problems connecting the wordpress installation to download the new plugins and themes.
I found here in this forum a very useful solution via terminal:
sudo chown -R daemon:staff /opt/lampp/htdocs/YourWP
It worked perfectly.
The only problem is that after that I cannot access my files anymore. I can see them, copy them but I can't paste anything in the directory nor edit any code as it wont be saved . I get a message that I need "Special permission" to try as Sudo and I did, using both, my name and computer's password and daemon and xampp and none worked.
Any ideas?
