Changed root@localhost permissions

Postby panroSmithe » 20. April 2018 20:05

I made a serious noob mistake. While I was following a tutorial at some point he said something about 'changing root user permissions' and before I realized he was talking about creating a NEW user I went ahead and changed my root@localhost privileges to SELECT, INSERT and UPDATE only... and now I'm completely locked out of PhpMyAdmin. The Apache web server nor the MySQL server will start, I can't even save changes to the config.inc file. I've looked up video after article after forum response... I've come to terms with the fact that this is so monumentally... erroneous a mistake that there aren't many people--if any--who face this issue. I've been working on this problem for 3 days now... please help.. :?
