Problems with the Mac OS X version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

Hi there,
I have just installed the most current version of XAMPP on my Mac (10.3.4 b1) to try out some other wordpress themes "offline" without effecting my life site.
But when starting XAMPP it takes some time but then it is running at IP 192.168.64.xxx instead of localhost (or 127.0.0.1)..
192.168.178.xxx however is my FritzBox home IP area... so if I connect to XAMPP Dashboard via the IP 192.168.64.xx I am not able to access PHPmyAdmin because I am not in the same network...
How to start XAMPP at localhost? Trying to connect to localhost by typing "localhost" in to Safari or each other Browser is just timing out...
Thank you

You downloaded the special "Xampp-VM" (VM = VirtualMachine) Version, which runs in a virtual environment. I think it would be better for you to download and install any of the other OSX Xampp versions. These install as expected into to your filesystem and runs on localhost.
