RE: ProFTPD Permanently stopped

XAMPP 7.2.0 and MacOSX 10.12.6

ProFTPD won't start permanently stopped (red light)
MySQL Database wasn't working on port 3306 so I changed this to 3307 and seems ok.
Apache Server was stopping and starting but seems ok now.

How do I fix this as need to install Prestashop for an assignment that is due in 2 weeks.

Urgently need this configuring correctly and an explanation as to why this has happened as was working perfect then fell down. I have had to uninstall and then reinstall numerous times but still getting these errors.

Hi, I faced the same problem as yours. Just wondering did you fix it?

There are probably TWO easy solutions:

1) Edit the hosts file of MacOS and add an entry for "Steven-MBP" (or whatever is mentioned in proftp configuration) like this:

192.168.1.2 Steven-MBP

where "192.168.1.2" is to be replaced by the LAN IP of this PC.

or

2) Edit the proftp configuration and directly replace "Steven-MBP" by 192.168.1.2 (again replace by your LAN IP).
