I'm running Mac OS X XAMPP-VM 7.2.0-0 successfully.
I have the lampp window open, and I can open htdocs in the Finder. I can create a new folder inside htdocs with a right-click, just like any Finder window. Cool.
So I right-click on index.php and say Open With ... Atom, my text editor of choice. Also fine — the folder opens, I have access to everything in Atom.
Here is the problem: When I create a new file in Atom and Save As, two separate files are created. For example, I create and save index.html -- I also get ._index.html when I do.
Surely there is some way to stop this? Any help would be appreciated.
Note, I'm editing and creating files directly in htdocs -- this is just a personal machine.
