XAMPP crashes and MySql Issue

Postby debrajrakshit » 04. January 2018 13:12

Hi, I have recently upgraded to Mac Os High Sierra(10.13.2 (17C88)). After that, I can't mount XAMPP directory. Each time I click mount, it restarts my Mac Book Air with an error message. Also, I can't access phpmyadmin. It says

Access forbidden!

New XAMPP security concept:
Access to the requested directory is only available from the local network.
This setting can be configured in the file "httpd-xampp.conf".

If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster.
Error 403
192.168.64.2
Apache/2.4.29 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.2n PHP/7.2.0 mod_perl/2.0.8-dev Perl/v5.16.3

Any help would be appreciated.

This the default configuration for phpMyAdmin. It is risky to have it open for remote connections.

To access phpMyAdmin from the host system, follow these steps:

1. Launch the stack manager by double-clicking the XAMPP icon in the mounted disk image.
2. Ensure that all services are running in the "Services" tab of the stack manager (or start them as needed).
3. Navigate to the "Network" tab and ensure that port forwarding (port 80 of the stack to port 8080 of the host system) over SSH is enabled.
4. Browse to http://localhost:8080/phpmyadmin to access phpMyAdmin.

If you see an "Access denied" error, ensure that your phpMyAdmin configuration correctly reflects your MySQL credentials.
