XAMPP VM ISSUE

Hi everyone,
I've been using the xampp vm smoothly for about a month, but now every time i try to start the application i get
INFO: Starting "XAMPP" stack
ERROR: Error starting "XAMPP" stack: cannot start stack: ssh not accessible
Please what can be done to resolve this, from my search the only recommended solution is to remove the bitnami/stackman directory, but how can i get my files. A fresh installation deletes all my files and is completely not an option for me.
