I've tried installing on a 2017 27" iMac with macOS 10.12.6 here as well, but I'm getting the same error there.

Does anyone know if this program is currently stable in a Windows environment? I've been tempted to boot camp windows on one of the macs to try, but I wasn't sure if we were running into a hardware conflict, or if this is solely due to the OS.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hello,

I was also getting this exact error on the newest version of 7.1.8. I was not able to find a work around or a way to get it to work on my 2011 Mac Book Air even when i received a:

kern.hv_support: 1

when I typed in the command

sysctl kern.hv_support

So i had to find my own work around that ended up working for me, and that was to download the previous version (in my case the previous version was 7.0.22) and follow the exact process. That's it. It worked completely afterward and was able to connect to Apache, ProFTPD and MySQL database. And of course afterward you are able to connect to http://localhost/dashboard/

I too had the same error on the newest version 7.1.8. I have a MacBook Pro 2017, running macOS Sierra 10.12.6.

Thanks for kyleedwardyoung for your post explaining you succcessfully returned to previous version 7.0.22. I deleted the 7.1.8 version of XAMPP in Applications folder and downloaded 7.0.22 version instead.

It installed correctly and worked perfectly.

Thanks for the help.

I too returned to the previous version 7.0.22, which works. However it is not the right solution as version 7.1.8 should work.

Of course 7.1.8 works. Simply try this link https://www.apachefriends.org/xampp-fil ... taller.dmg

Hi, I apologize for the delay getting back to you and for the issues caused. The problem seems to be related to some changes introduced in latest versions of macOS. We are working on a new build. We will post it here later today and work on an official release if that solves the issue.

Here is the link to the fixed version:

https://www.apachefriends.org/xampp-fil ... view-2.dmg

It will require to delete ~/.bitnami/stackman/helpers/hyperkit to make the new bundle properly update the malformed file.

We are still performing extra testing but it appears to be working fine in both the latest 10.12.6 and older versions. If we do not find any issues, we will update the front page link later today.

In addition, we plan to release a new XAMPP version this week, which will also include the fix.
