Manager-osx requires admin privileges

Postby joej74 » 28. April 2017 14:25

Hi & thanks in advance! - XAMPP 2014 OS X El Capitan

So I can't open "manager-osx" in xamppfiles because it requires admin privileges. I believe I have found the solution:
____
I find the solution: for some reason, owner has been changed. I changed it back to root, and now it works again :
$ cd /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles
$ chown -R root manager-osx.app
____

HOWEVER, this doesn't work... any suggestions please??

I've also tried this second 'solution' with no success... http://stackoverflow.com/questions/29896273/xampp-mac-os-x-this-application-requires-admin-privileges

I would simply try "sudo":

$ cd /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles
$ sudo ./manager-osx

Thats how it works for Linux.
