Tool to Create Virtual Hosts

This is not strictly a question for MacOS, but it is a question in English.

I know how to create a virtual host by hand, and have done it many times on my real server. However, surely there must be a way to implement a tool to do so in XAMPP?

I teach web development, especially PHP to adult students who are not necessarily going to be web server managers, and there must be a simpler way to do this part. AMPPS has a simple form which creates the appropriate entries, and it is the only think that I miss.

Within the means of my ability, yes. I would need need some advice on any relevant APIs, but my web development skills are good, and I would certainly do what I am able.
