Can't install WordPress Module

Postby linminjung » 22. September 2016 06:40

Hi, all

I'm a XAMPP beginner.
I tried to install WordPress Module but after I enter my admin passwords,
system popped up
"The installer is going to be restarted with Administrator privileges."

And once it started, it stuck at the section of choosing a root file.
The "Next" button is not clickable or if it's clickable.
The same problem as previous one was the system said it needed to be restarted again.

Can anyone help me with this problem.
I don't know how to change the privileges to make it install successfully. :(

Cheers!

What is a "WordPress Module"? Where did you download it, how is it called?

Hello All,

I had the same problem and was hoping for an easy fix. What I have had to do is run it from the command line:

sudo /Volumes/WordPress\ Module/WordPress\ Module.app/Contents/MacOS/installbuilder.sh

Keep that tab open as it will continuously prompt for the password as the scripts launch. I have a feeling Apple did something with gatekeeper. I remember there being that *nix exploit a while back where your computer could be hijacked from BASH scripts. I am curious if this is causing the issue.

Long story short, it worked before but I wiped my machine recently and now it won't go past the account creation because it can't connect to the SQL server with the password. Probably something I did but unrelated to the install issues. It should work this way (it did in the past).

I finally got it up and running, I had to create and set my mysql password. Unrelated but once I got it all set up the wizard completed and I am able to run WP containers.
