Problems with the Mac OS X version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

I recently started getting 500 errors after installing a new plugin in a Wordpress installation. I thought that Apache would record more detailed info for 500 errors but nothing is going into the error_log file (or any of the other files in the "log" folder). There ARE error messages in there so I know that error logging is working in general - but nothing for 500 errors.
Can't figure it out. Thanks for any help.

Error 500 are application errors.
You need to look into your php_error_log

Not only. Also invalid configuration (especially in .htaccess) may cause Error 500 (internal server error). For example a not loaded module (mod_rewrite or so) and a corresponding Rewrite in .htaccess will cause Error 500. Also any typo may cause Error 500.

Thanks for the replies - all of the error reporting PHP, etc. is turned on but no errors are appearing in any log.
It definitely seems to have something to do with the Wordfence plugin.
I am currently doing this the old fashioned way and setting break points through the code trying to find where it's failing.
