Installer doesn't work (OS X 10.6.8)

I have had some older version of XAMPP installed and working but I wanted to start fresh and install the php7 version.

Downloaded the installer, ran it, it pops up in the dock for a little bit, then it simply quits and does nothing. Can anyone help? I'm not sure on how I could troubleshoot that...

Edit: Tried the other versions as well, same problem. Installer runs, starts bouncing in the dock, I enter password, it keeps bouncing for a bit, then it's gone.

Edit 2: Trying to run it through terminal I'm getting:
