Uninstaller not running! Force empty trash...

Postby lee_m » 30. October 2015 12:41

Hi Everyone,

For some reasons my Xampp uninstaller wasn't running so i decided to try in deleting the folder and "force empty trash" with terminal command (yes, i know stupid idea overall). The folder was correctly deleted but now when trying to re-install Xampp the servers aren't connecting, some previous settings/files are conflicting i guess.

What should i do or look for ? Any suggestions?

Thx in advance for your help.

Look into the error_log of Apache and (if there is such thing) into system error log. There is no error message and nothing?? (You did not apply any message here).#

What do you mean with "arent connecting"??

Hi thx for your reply.

By "connecting" i mean starting.

The servers Status go back to "Stopped" when trying to start them.

This is the log when trying to start the Apache Web Server:

"Starting Apache Web Server...
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/apache2/scripts/ctl.sh : httpd started
"

This is the log when trying to Start them all at once:

"Starting all servers...
Starting MySQL Database...

Starting Apache Web Server...
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/apache2/scripts/ctl.sh : httpd started
Starting ProFTPD...
Checking syntax of configuration file
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/proftpd/scripts/ctl.sh : proftpd started
"

And the error log from the Apache Web Server:

"Oct 31 08:00:10 Sylvains-MBP com.apple.xpc.launchd[1] (com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent): The _DirtyJetsamMemoryLimit key is not available on this platform.

No, that is anything else (looks like a log from a FritzBox), but not an Apache Logfile from Xampp for OSX.

Hi Nobbie,

Thanks for your answer and trying to help me with this but since i'm such a newb and could not find any Apache LogFile, I then decided to just re-install my OSX fresh and XAMPP works fine now.

:)
