Run XAMPP Manager without Admin privileges?

I am a fairly experienced XAMPP user, and just installed 5.6.8 on my Mac at work. However, I am not an Administrator in this environment. My Admin gave me read/write privileges for the /XAMPP directory and its children, so I can create new content in the /htdocs folder. However, when I run the XAMPP Manager-osx application to start Apache, the app asks for an Admin password. Is there any way around this?

There is only one workaround, your Administrator should change the permissions of the executable file and give it "superuser" access for execution (this is called "sticky bit"). I dont know if there is a sticky bit on OSX (it *should* be, as it is a Unix like OS), but if not, there is no work around, you need a password.

What i dont understand, why do you start Xampp on yourself? Your Administrator should install Xampp as a service (or "daemon"), which starts up automatically on boot time. An Apache Service usually is a system task, not an user task.
