xdebug not loading

Postby wildcharacters » 23. November 2013 05:01

I have XAMPP 1.8.3-1 and Mac OS X 10.9 running on a MacBook Pro.

I want to use xDebug.

I added the following to the php.ini file that's located in:
Code: Select all

When I look at the output from phpinfo() there's no xdebug listed.

The folder listed above for the does exist and it does contain xdebug.so.

The error that I get in the error_log is this:
Code: Select all
Failed loading /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/”/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/php-5.3.1/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/xdebug.so”:  dlopen(/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/”/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/php-5.3.1/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626/xdebug.so”, 9): image not found

I've tried changing the entry in the php.ini to point to /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20121212/ which I created by duplicating the /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/lib/php/php-5.3.1/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20090626 folder.

My guess is that the xdebug.so was compiled for a different version of PHP, is that possible?

Any suggestions, thanks in advance?
