Configure phpMyAdmin

Would someone please explain how to configure phpMyAdmin? Please type slowly, for I am a slow reader. I want to do a couple of things. First, I want the log off after 1440 seconds gone. Then, I want to always view 100 records, starting at record zero. There's 97 files in the folder, and looking at them makes my head swim
