Restoring MySQL from Format

Hi All,

I have had to reformat my machine and managed to backup my XAMPP directory from the previous installation which had my MYSQL databases in place. Now I realized that I did not export them to SQL files before I formatted and I would like to know how to get them back. Can someone shed some light on this?
