Permission Problems

Postby themortalgod » 27. October 2011 20:19

Hey, so I just download XAMPP to use as a local development environment and am having problems getting my scripts to run because of permission errors. Currently i am trying to get an image caching system to run that works fine on hosted web servers.

PHP is returning the following error:

"Warning: imagejpeg() [function.imagejpeg]: Unable to open '/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/media/cache/135.jpg' for writing: Permission denied in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/htdocs/application/library/loaders/Image.php on line 103"

However, I have set the permissions to all the files to 777 so am wondering if there is some other issue related to XAMPP that I have to fix?

Any help would be great!!!!

thanks

knowing nothing about your scripts, I'm purely guessing - but I would say its an ownership issue.

Good Luck
