How to transfer "htdocs" files from Windows to Mac XAMPP

How do I transfer "htdocs" folder files from Windows XAMPP to Mac XAMPP?

I would like to be able to do my Degree programming work on both my MacBookPro and my HP desktop however Mac will not let me drag files from my USB XAMPP "htdocs" folder onto the XAMPP "htdocs" folder I have installed on my Mac.
Is it a simple issue or am i best just sticking to Windows?

I could drag the files onto desktop but they couldn't be dragged into Applications/XAMPP/htdocs.
The Error said that XAMPP and htdocs cannot be modified.

However trying again, I have managed to save the folder holding my work to Applications/XAMPP/htdocs/xampp/ which is not ideal for file path simplicity but it'll have to do unless anyone comes up with a better idea.

Thanks

Amelia

Give yourself read & write permissions for the htdocs-folder.
