Where´s setup folder?

HI mates!
I´m new to databases and I´m using xampp for mac .
I´m trying to set up a password to enter inside mysql databases , following a tutorial.
The tutorial that I´m watching was performed on a mac, but using an older version of phpmyadmin.

After set the password to enter inside mysql databases , when we open phpmyadmin this is what appears on the tutorial:

Then, he uses that link (where the mouse is) to put everything working.

I´m using the last xampp release (the version of php is superior to the one used on the tutorial), but there´s no link to access to the "setup script"!

I also tried to use the browser to open the setup script : http://localhost/phpmyadmin/scripts/setup.php , but it doesn´t find any setup.php. I searched in Applications->XAMPP->xamppfiles->phpmyadmin and I din´t find the scripts folder!

I´m a bit confused...this xampp version don´t have it?
I also managed inside the phpmyadmin folder. I accessed the file config.inc.php and in line 34 i wrote:

$cfg['Servers'][$i]['password'] = 'myPass';// where myPass is the password that I defined

But it continues to give me access denied...

Could you help me?

Well I solved half of the problem...
http://localhost/phpmyadmin/setup ,gives access to the setup page.
Now I will have to put some code inside the config file in order to clean some errors. I´ll work on that now.
