Confusing Problem with Sockets

Hi all,

is just installed (and reinstalled) XAMPP a couple of times at my MacBookPro (latest Mac Os Version) but I still have this confusing problem: I can reach my MySQL Databases via Mysqladmin. But i cannot reach them using self written php code, MySQL Query Browser, sequel pro or any other tool. Some times there is this socket message (if i use localhost) and some thomes (if i use 127.0.0.1) there is a error 61 with message that the initial communication packet fails.

Does anyone has an idea what the problem could be?
