Can't import an existing database

Postby keithh » 22. November 2010 22:07

I have copied an sqlite database into htdocs but it has the extension .sql

When I try to rename it with the extension .db it will not let me. It says I don't have the authority to make the change. I am the only user on my MAC and I have admin rights. What am I doing wrong?

You need to give yourself write access to both the file and the directory the file is in. By default only the webserver user ('nobody') has read/write access to htdocs. You should give yourself read/write access to the htdocs-folder and also to the sqlite database file.

For details about changing permissions, read my post at this thread:
