APC on Mac OS X 10.5 lep.

I am having an issue installing APC for my xampp server on OS x 10.5. I am totally new to this, so any help would be great. I have a php/bin directory under my developer section on my hard drive, but I also have the php directory where xampp is. I am not sure which php-config file to use when installing APC or where to exactly put it.

XAMPP makes use of the PHP that came with XAMPP:
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/php
It doesn't use any other PHP that is installed on your hard drive, so you should be looking for the php-config file in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/
