"can't find php executable path" problem

Postby Praemedicatus » 20. June 2010 12:56

I have been trying to setup several apps that use online installers on a sandbox using XAMPP for OSX but several as for "absolute path to php executable on your system. for example /usr/local/custom_php5/bin/php".

I have tried "/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/php" but with no luck.

What is the correct path that I should be entering?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I had took a look at the configuration of one of my webapps, and there the absolute PHP-path is set to
Code: Select all
/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/bin/php

That's exactly what you already have tried, but with me, that path works.

I must say I still use an older XAMPP version with that webapp (XAMPP for Mac v1.0.1), because that was the latest release of XAMPP for Mac with PHP 5.2.x (my hosting provider still uses PHP 5.2.x), so I haven't test that webapp with newer versions of XAMPP, which uses PHP 5.3.x.

I have now tried this with both 5.2.x and 5.3.x PHP and get the same result.

Adding "/Users/macusername/" the the path doesn't help either

There must be a way around this..
