PHP 5.3.1

Problems with the Mac OS X version of XAMPP, questions, comments, and anything related.

PHP 5.3.1

Postby afilina » 22. February 2010 18:54

Compiling PHP on OSX is such a pain that it's the main reason why I use XAMPP.

I wanted to work with Symfony 2 which requires PHP 5.3.1. XAMPP currently ships with 5.3.0. Is it possible to release a new package with 5.3.1? A lot of people will start asking for it soon as Symfony is a very popular framework.

Thanks in advance.

Look at the Apachefriends Homepage
Yesterday were released a new XAMPP Beta Version for Max OS X which includes PHP 5.3.1.

But Symfony is still Beta and will be mainly supported fpr PHP 5.3.2, which is still Release Candidate:
Please note that Symfony 2 is not yet ready for production. The final release is planned for late 2010 and will only support PHP 5.3.2. In the meantime

PHP 5.3.4 is the latest version. Is there a way to update the PHP used by XAMPP?
