Error starting XAMPP

Postby jorann » 09. February 2010 11:53

Hello all,

XAMPP used to run fine on my mac, but since today I have a problem. When I try to start the XMAPP control panel, i get this error message:

XAMPP is installed in my Applications folder, so I don't know where this message came from! Any help on this?

Thanks

Hey…

just to be clear by 'your Applications folder' you mean the system wide on (=/Applications) or the one that is only for you /Users/<your_username>/Applications?

However you can disable the check by running:
Code: Select all
defaults write org.apachefriends.XAMPP_Control SkipLocationCheck -bool yes

well, I guess it's in my user folder, but when i use my terminal and cd /Applications/XAMPP, it exists. But I'll try that! Thanks a lot!

This did work, xampp is working perfectly again
