Do XAMPP and MacOS's built-in apache confilct?

I recently learned that MacOSX comes with a built-in working apache.
If you instal XAMPP will they conflict?
I've seen that navigating to localhost will show XAMPP's DocumentRoot contents, so I guess not, but I'm not being able to set up virtual hosts, so who knows.

Yes, they can conflict, but only if you've start(ed) the webserver that comes with Mac OS X and then try to start XAMPP. XAMPP and the webserver that comes with Mac OS X can not run at the same time at the same machine.

To look if the webserver that comes with Mac OS X is started, go to System preferences -> Share -> Personal webserver.
