XAMPP 1.7.2 - opcode caching - eAccelerator

Hello

Has anyone got some php opcode caching working for the XAMPP 1.7.2, namely php 5.3?
I would prefer eAccelerator 0.9.6 http://eaccelerator.net/wiki/Release-0.9.6-rc1 but could not get it to compile.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
