Error trying to start Apache

When I open the XAMPP Cotroller and click "Start Apache", I get the following error message:

/Applications/xampp/xamppfiles/bin/apachectl: line 70: ulimit: open files: cannot modify limit: Invalid argument

I noticed in another topic someone was getting the same error when STOPPING Apache. Is this related?

I am using this on a MAC OS X 10.5.6.
