Trouble Installing with MacOS 10.4.11

I'm new to this and am trying to install as per the instructions onto my Mac. I've downloaded XAMPP Mac OS X 1.0.0, mounted the disk image and copied the files to the Applications folder. Then I disabled all of the sharing (as I read from a previous forum post that could cause problems). I went into the terminal, logged in and used the command "/Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/xampp start"

I received this result:
Starting XAMPP for MacOS X 1.0.0...
dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/libltdl.3.dylib

Reason: image not found
XAMPP: Starting Apache...
XAMPP: Error 1! Couldn't start Apache!

XAMPP:
XAMPP: Error 138! Couln't start ProFTPD!
XAMPP for MacOS X started.

I'm not sure what's wrong and would appreciate any help. Thank you!

Go another time to the xampp mac osx download page and download the actual version, which is not 1.0.0.
