apache not working, not sure why

error message is this in terminal

XAMPP for MacOS X started.

hi,
I got similar issues. now i found out why. maybe this can help u.

1. Choose Apple > System Preferences, and then click Sharing.

2.Select File Sharing. Ensure No services for sharing is ON for web sharing and file sharing.

I unchecked the web sharing and file sharing options service, and my Xampp apache is working now.
but i dont know why....
becos i am also new Mac user !

After installing Xampp again, problem was solved.
But acctually I have other problem. After I started localhost/joomla following massage is coming:
:Not Found

The requested URL /joomla was not found on this server.

This is driving me crazy since a week. I am a new into Joomla and for a week I was bit practicing, but since a week this massage! This can have to do with some administrator issues. Where and how to look at this?

where did u extract your joomla files to ?

u need to extract to xammp/htdocs/joomla folder

then when u point your url to http://localhost/joomla

it should be there
