Installing PDO_MYSQL - missing autoconf?

Postby groovecoder » 18. April 2007 17:30

I have installed the xampp dev package.

I'm trying to install PDO_MYSQL, but phpize fails and says it can't find autoconf. After googling, it seems Macs are supposed to have /usr/bin/autoconf , but I couldn't find mine. Does anyone know where the Mac autoconf is? Do I just set an environment variable PHP_AUTOCONF to that? Thanks.

Got autoconf

I have since installed Xcode (after trying Fink) and still was not able to get PDO to install. Now the phpize error message is even less helpful...

running: phpize
Configuring for:
PHP Api Version: 20041225
Zend Module Api No: 20060613
Zend Extension Api No: 220060519
ERROR: `phpize' failed

Anyone?
