How do you Reset Passwords

I just followed the instructions for setting all the passwords for xammp, root FTP, php. I had a few bumps in the road, but got them figured out. I set the password for phpmyadmin (blowfish_secret). Now when I try to log in to phpmyadmin....I CANT. Ive tried every user name I would have used and NONE work. I cant log in as root either. Does anybody have any ideas....OR...how can I just reset all the passwords and shut off all security.
