Access XAMPP-VM from LAN

I installed XAMPP-VM 7.4.6 on OSX 10.15.4 with no problems. Using Safari on the host, I go to

and it works as advertised. But when I try it from another system on my LAN, it draws the dreaded This site can't be reached display. I use

http://server.local:8080

where server.local is the BonJour name of my XAMPP host. But it draws the same when I use the IP address of the host.

I'm kind of a novice at networking. Am I missing some embarrassingly (I hope) simple step?
