XAMP 1.8.3-5 Vulnerabilities as Far As Privacy

Postby Nelly21 » 30. September 2017 02:23

Hi, I recently downloaded XAMP via Lynda.Com (SQL Course) successfully. I have no issues with such, my issue is with the level of privacy. Can someone briefly explain what I need to do regarding what level of access does the XAMP server have into my Mac Os? As far as internet pages? I read briefly from XAMP when I turn on my Apache server the pages I view on XAMP are visible to anyone. What do they mean by such? XAMP Internet pages are they referring to my sql CRUD application usage? Or every page regardless of XAMP. I also wan to know what happens when my Apache server is off? Is it still a privacy concern? When I spoke to Norton they told me don't worry XAMP is a fairly safe application. I am not sure how the XAMP vulnerabilities work? Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
