Zend Developer Workstation, Xampp or Mamp?

Hello,

I am beginning to use Zend Studio and Zend Guard to do php/mySQL development on a Mac OS X 17" intel laptop. At the beginning of my first tutorial, the guy was using Mamp and it was really a pain keeping up because the structure of folders was different and I kept having to stop the presentation and sort out the difference in my workstation, running Xampp on OS X 10.4.

The presenter/trainer was running Mamp. What is the recommended and most common server implementation used by php developers using Zend? Would I be better of staying with Xampp or should I change to Mamp? I am thinking I should do what is most common for php/mySQL development on a Mac OS X 17" intel laptop. Please advise
