The php.ini is from -> /opt/app/wsqeai05c01/atlas/xampp/etc/php.ini

This is what phpinfo() told you, or this is the file you have edit?

I also added the path in mysql.server

Well, MySQL is working now, see the posts above, so no need to make additional changes in MySQL.

A PHP script can't work with MySQL:
--> nothing to do with the MySQL setup. Only with the PHP config.

It is the file I edited

You remember my question?

the phpinfo from myphpadmin is pointing to the root path not my install path

Configuration File (php.ini) Path /opt/xampp/etc

Configuration File (php.ini) Path /opt/xampp/etc

Well, then your PHP is using no php.ini and your changes don't take affect.

In the "httpd.conf" you must configure the path to your "php.ini":
Code: Select all
PHPIniDir /opt/app/wsqeai05c01/atlas/xampp/etc

then restart Apache and look in phpinfo() if all settings okay now.
